We are delighted to announce that on the 27th September 2019, OFSTED published their report following a full inspection of EMA.
The report concluded with a GOOD grading for our outcomes for learners and also for the achievements with personal development, behaviour and welfare.
Our overall assessment was requires improvement. Given this was our first full inspection as a provider, we are satisfied with this result and will continue to develop our services to both Apprentices and their employers.
Of particular note were the inspectors comments about our Accountancy provision which is the core part of our business:
‘The accountancy apprenticeship is well structured, well planned and very effective’
‘ Apprentices develop well their practical skills and behaviours they need to meet employers’ needs’
‘Teaching and learning on the accountancy apprenticeship are good’
‘Apprentices’ pass rates are very high’
Tracey Mosley – Managing Director of EMA commented ‘ this was our first real test of a full OFSTED inspection and we are pleased with the overall result, particularly the comments about our Accountancy provision. It now provides us with the foundation to grow the business, focussing on Accountancy and Finance. Also, we now have new programmes we are launching in Payroll and IT where there is a real need. Our ambition is to become the leading provider of Apprenticeships in Derby and then the East Midlands in our chosen sectors with a focus on high quality teaching and learning for Apprentices and providing employers with the highest quality employees who make a real contribution to their business growth and productivity.
