Finance Assistant Apprentice

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collating and uploading reports of supplier invoices to be requested
  • Filing and digitally attaching purchase invoices
  • Provide assistance when required with reconciling departed bookings and ensuring that supplier invoices have been received
  • Processing and reconciling supplier invoices, credit notes and credit card payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements and requesting invoices where needed
  • Assist with the monitoring of the accounts team’s shared mailbox
  • Dealing with telephone and email queries in a timely manner (both externally and internally)
  • Supplier account reconciliation
  • Build relationships with key suppliers to ensure efficient supplier finance management
  • Management of accounts payable inboxes to ensure frequent and efficient communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Processing our supplier payment against our supplier payment policy
  • Daily bank posting and reconciliation
  • General administration support within the finance team
  • Supporting the Finance Manager where needed
  • General administration support with answering the phone and responding to emails
