From 1st April 2025, EMA Training have committed to supporting 3 local charities from across the East Midlands for the next 2 years. Supporting one charity from each region as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals for 2025 and 2026.
Derby Kids’ Camp
Based in the stunning Derbyshire countryside, Derby Kids’ Camp is a 100% volunteer-run charity with the goal of giving Derbyshire’s most deserving children a free holiday. From poverty, bereavement or being a young carer, these children deserve a holiday to remember. Every year 200 volunteers support Derby Kids’ Camp to create a fun, safe and unforgettable summer holiday.
The Bodie Hodges Foundation
After the death of their son Bodie, Nick and Donna set up The Bodie Hodges Foundation to offer support for other bereaved families. Based in Leicestershire, they provide both family and child-centred services to help with the process of grief and ensure that no one feels alone in grief. The charity also promotes organ donation, raising awareness to improve or even save the lives of other children.
BASE 51
Since 1993, Base 51 has provided young people in Nottinghamshire a safe space to talk and meet new people. With counselling, therapy sessions and a youth club, Base 51 supports children aged 11 – 24 years old with all facets of emotional and mental well-being. It’s not only children that can benefit; parents and carers, and professionals can also receive guidance from Base 51 to help young people with serious mental health concerns.
Managing Director, Tracey Mosley, said, “With our training hubs ideally located across each city of the East Midlands, we believe it is vital to work with and give back to Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Nottinghamshire and their communities. Myself and the EMA team have all had a say in choosing these charities and we cannot wait to get started with fundraising and participating in events very soon!”
