Tracey Mosley, has been shortlisted for Female Entrepreneur of the year 2020

Hosted by The East Midlands Chamber, the event is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the amazing work that women in the region undertake every day. The event will bring together businesses from across the region to acknowledge their success.

More about Tracey, our CEO:

Tracey created EMA Training from one small classroom in Amber Valley, managing all aspects of the business,  including identifying the recruitment needs of local businesses, candidate recruitment, design and delivery of the Accountancy Apprenticeship programmes, marketing, business development, and contract bids. At the same time,  driving the business forward and ensuring that stakeholders receive the best service possible with impact and solutions to exceed expectations.

EMA has grown dramatically and is now a multi classroom training centre in the heart of Derby City Centre, and despite the growth, Tracey still welcomes the Apprentices daily. They all know who she is, she is proud to have an ‘open door’ policy, ensuring that learners and colleagues can share any concerns or simply need to talk. There is a  regular take up of this offer to chat with her!

Tracey began her career in Accountancy, as an Apprentice herself and progressed her career from Assistant Accountant, Finance Manager, and Finance Director, to now being the business owner, at EMA Training. She loves leading and empowering her team, supporting them to develop the strategic growth plans, programmes and practices needed to be the best in the training industry whilst making the biggest IMPACT.

Tracey has been involved in the education sector for 10 years and previously supported like minded businesses as the role of Non Executive Director, her drive and experience has seen the business to grow to the size it is today; trebling over the last 12 months. She is passionate about supporting local businesses and works closely with them to identify their recruitment needs and provide them with employer led training solutions.

“I feel extremely privileged to have been shortlisted as Female Entrepreneur of the year 2020 and look forward to joining many other inspirational females at the Chamber event next month.

I strongly believe my role within EMA, is to provide truly authentic leadership and deliver above expectation to all of our apprentices, our  employers and my team. I love the varied role I have, and particularly still enjoy the Apprentice and employer site visits I attend to see the impact the Apprentices are having within the business and their personal development. I have had a lot of ‘proud moments’ over the years supporting young people find Apprenticeship placements at level 2 and finally achieving their professional status at level 4, gaining permanent employment.
