Role Overview

Accounts Assistant Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant Apprentice to join our Finance Department at head office in Farnsfield and embark on a journey to kickstart their career. The day to day will be duties such as balancing sheets, handling journals, and generating sales reports. This role offers valuable hands-on experience and training to achieve an AAT Level 3 with EMA.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Balancing Sheets- Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheets from our Card zone stores.
  • Verifying accuracy of financial data and resolving or escalating discrepancies.
  • Collaborate and communicate with team members and staff from other departments within the organisation to ensure smooth running of business and to resolve any queries or attain information.
  • Completing and processing additional financial data such as expenses.
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries ensuring accurate recording and coding of journal entries.
  • Assist in reconciling journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Learn to compile sales data to assist in generating reports.
  • Support the department with day-to-day financial tasks and administration tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
