More about Tracey, our CEO

At the same time, driving the business forward and ensuring that stakeholders receive the best service possible with impact and solutions to exceed expectation.

EMA has grown dramatically and is now a multi classroom training centre in the heart of Derby City Centre, and despite the growth, Tracey still welcomes the Apprentices daily. Tracey has been involved in the education sector for 10 years and previously supported like minded businesses as the role of Non Executive Director, her drive and experience has seen the business to grow to the size it is today; trebling over the last 12 months. She is passionate about supporting local businesses and works closely with them to identify their recruitment needs and provide them with employer led training solutions.

Why was Tracey nominated for Female Entrepreneur of the year 2020.

Nominations for Female Entrepreneur can be made by anyone and here are just a few reasons why Tracey has been nominated and supported by her colleagues:

“Really proud to read that my business partner and mentor, Tracey, has been nominated for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year through East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire)! We speak a lot in this sector about the 'learners coming first' and no-one represents this more than Tracey. In addition to the exceptional training provision, Tracey and the team dedicate many of their evenings running drop-in clinics and support sessions for our Acoountancy learners and ensure our Delivery Hub is open on evenings and weekends to allow students to sit their #AATexams outside of work hours”. James Stafford, COO, EMA Training Limited.

“Having left school and becoming an Apprentice herself, she is a fantastic advocate for apprenticeships and is an inspirational role model for women in business, having over 10 years’ experience gained from progressing through the job roles she has demonstrates how incredibly hard working she is, but, what really marks her out are the morals and ethics she applies every day that exemplify how it is possible to be both successful in business and a brilliant, working mum to her two beautiful young girls. she is an outstanding role model not only to her family but to us all”. Richard Gerver, NED, EMA Training Limited.

What Tracey had to say…..

“I feel extremely privileged to have been shortlisted as Female Entrepreneur of the year 2020 and look forward to joining many other inspirational females at the Chamber event next month.

I strongly believe my role within EMA, is to provide truly authentic leadership and deliver above expectation to all of our apprentices, our employers and my team. I love the varied role I have, and particularly still enjoy the Apprentice and employer site visits I attend to see the impact the Apprentices are having within the business and their personal development. I have had a lot of ‘proud moments’ over the years supporting young people find Apprenticeship placements at level 2 and finally achieving their professional status at level 4, gaining permanent employment. Job satisfaction at its best!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish the best of luck to all of those shortlisted for an award and look forward to raising a toast to us all on the night, achieving the recognition we all deserve, just by being shortlisted.”
